‘H’ Factor Weekend in KK – PART 1, My birthday surprise…

Following the first shoot week in Langkawi for My Spy, I headed to KK for the third leg
of the ‘H’ Factor Nationwide Creative Youth Workshop on Saturday morning (25th).
My connecting flight to KK via KL was scheduled to be at 12.50pm so I managed
to catch up with the rest of the guys at LCCT before we headed to KK on the
same flight together. At least I didn’t have to take the next flight alone.

At the airport, Joey first surprised me with a parcel (a huge one).
I opened it and THIS is what I found – my logo in pillow form! *grin* Hehe…cool
bananas! And believe it or not it was hand tailored by Micky Tan (thank you
Micky! *smile*), a very talented local Malaysian designer, according to the
exact proportions of my bling. Amazing! What a way to start the day on your
birthday ya… *grin*

The flight to KK was great, with Joey and Reymee keeping me
company throughout. We were literally pigging out the entire 2.5 hours as I
shared my Langkawi weekend with them. At the back of my mind, I was prepared
for another long hectic weekend with the workshop in KK. Nevertheless, it was such
a relief to be able to spend the next 2 nights in a proper hotel, *laugh*
something I was actually looking forward to after my bed bug experience.
*laugh* At the same time, I had already started missing the rest of the crew
that were still in Langkawi, and hoping that the weather would be gracious to
them throughout the weekend.

Our arrival at the KK airport was greeted by our friendly
transport coordinator, Mike, who took the load of us to Sutera Harbour
via one van and a car. The first half of the team had already arrived in KK
earlier that morning while Jess, Leonard Khoo, Serena C and Pietro went head a
day earlier. I was tired, but happy to meet the entire team again for yet
another exciting weekend with the workshop. *smile*
After checking in, I received a call from Leonard Chua to
open my room door and to my surprise, just as I did that, the team were out
there holding a slice of chocolate cake with a candle singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
So sweet… *smile* Such a pleasant surprise… *smile* Right after that, Leonard
Chua and I headed down to the Function Room to check out the workshop venue,
following which, Reymee actually blind-folded and led me out on the shuttle bus
with Akil guiding me on my left. Another surprise, just when I thought I had
HAD the best day of my life. *laugh*
After a good 10 minutes of anticipation and walking
blind-folded, I arrived in front of this! *grin*

A boat! Hehe! *grin* With the entire team! I couldn’t
believe my eyes and naturally, I was shocked! Oh and excited at the same time.
I was actually on a boat! On my birthday! With all the people I love! I
couldn’t have asked for more. I was touched. So touched. And I had never felt
so loved. All the trouble Leonard, Reymee and the team went through to get this
done for me – worth every single bit of it, because I was definitely surprised,
touched, happy, amazed and dumb-founded!

Reymee, Ganesh, Leonard, Jessica and the team, thank you so very
very much for making my birthday this year the best one ever! Just when I
thought I’d be happy to celebrate it at work with the ‘H’ Factor Support Team,
I ended up getting so much more in that joy-bundled day. *smile*
