Since
I’m stuck in the office preparing for this year’s audit and income tax with no
action to share these couple of days, I thought I’d cover more of the best
things in life… *laugh* Today, allow me to introduce you to the Japanese grill,
robata. *smile* This particular place
I went to for my first real robata meal
in Tokyo was
hidden in one of the alleys off the main street. Alone, I wouldn’t have
discovered this place – not in a million years man~ *laugh*
Now
that you’ve seen the outside, let’s check out the inside… *wink*
I
reckon the best seats in the house are the ones at the bar - right in front
of the food supply where you can keep a close eye on what to devour next. Haha.
For me, at least. *laugh*
food for pick
You can get almost everything here – from vegetables
to giant seafood like this! Haha.
sorry, I accidentally ate this before I could take the pic...hehe
Of course, there are also the regular-sized food like these... Haha.
the last dish of the day... the giant rice ball. Haha. It's called an onigiri BTW *smile*
Grilled,
the food may not look too tasty, but trust me, these clever chefs made sure
enough salt and spices were added to make it taste just right. One thing about
the Japanese is that they look into every inch of detail, meaning taste and
presentation is never less than the very best. *smile*
Oh
and they may look small compared to the Europeans, but by golly do the Japanese
have big stomachs! R-e-s-p-e-c-t! Haha. I was stuffed right up to my brains for this
meal, but a happy camper I was nevertheless, thanks to my gracious hosts.
*smile* This is the kind of hospitality I would never say no to. Haha. Thank
God for food, and for nice wonderful people who lead you to that… *big-grin*
my gracious hosts - Ohno San & Sawabe San *smile*
