For the first time in many years, I’m finally treating myself to a weekend off during Merdeka! Woo-hoo! 2 full days to myself to just disappear and catch up on sleep, spend time with myself, reply all my work emails, clear out my paperwork, complete a few H-Factor proposals (trying to gather as much funds as we can to make the upcoming one a blast) and watch a DVD! Haha. So excited! Hehe.

And since my gig in Tokyo on the 29^th got cancelled (because the artiste I was supposed to collaborate with is under investigations by authorities for a local drug scandal), I get to do all that here! *big-smile!

I know this pic doesn’t really depict my enthusiasm much and instead, my current state-of-mind at work, but trust me, there’s nothing more I’m looking forward to than the weekend to myself OFF WORK! Haha. What are you guys gonna be up to? If you can, stay away from the crowds ya… *laugh*

I finally had the chance to check out a pasar Ramadhan in between work today. Yay! Haha. There was so much food and being the typical glutton I am, I really felt like eating everything I saw. Haha. Temptation, temptation… *laugh*

Ta-paoed the ikan bakar (not too bad although the air asam was quite a disappointment), sotong bakar (good!), tau-foo-far and roasted chicken gizzard. Overall, not too bad for a dinner on the go. A nice change from all the chicken rice I have been having all week alright! Hahaha.

I came across this clip recently and thought I’d share it with you. Reality can be rather harsh, so let’s take the opportunity to thank God for what we have today, even if we think it may not be enough. *smile*

If you ever feel that God has deserted you or that your life cannot be any worse, think again, because somewhere out there, there are always people worse off than you are. So let’s count our blessings and take this opportunity to thank God for at least 5 things which we’re truly grateful for. I didn’t have to think much for my list of 5… *smile*

1) The wonderful, supportive, encouraging, faithful and thoughtful family I have both online and at home who stick up for me when the world has its back on me, who believe in me even when the odds are against me

2) A great team of driven and focused individuals who share the same vision and goals, willing to sacrifice time and leisure in the name of dedication and commitment to a task at hand

3) The close friends who choose to stick around even in the worst of times, who initiate help when they know I’m in need

4) The luxury of having accessibility to food for when I’m hungry, water when I’m thirsty and the additional treats/snacks for the in-betweens…thank God also for creating chocolate! Haha.

5) A country free from natural disasters, extreme poverty and war

Another long day today as I wrap up the second half of the past 17 hours with a very refreshing cover shoot concept for a local mag. Again, my lips are sealed until the issue hits the news stands later this year but for now the editor has been gracious enough to allow me to post these up, so that at least you’ll know what to look out for. *grin*

There was an exclusively unique flava’ to the series of shots we did thanks to Ed Hardy KLCC. Nothing like your typical mag cover and you’ll soon see why… hehe. No complaints because I had a ball playing dress-up today! Haha. The team I worked with today were great, which made the session even more enjoyable. What can I say? Malaysians are wonderful people!
