Jason and Pat of MYC were so kind as to invite me to join the panel of prestigious judges for the competition so there I was, a thorn amongst the roses… hehe
It was a very refreshing day indeed, being treated to non-stop live rockin’ music from 4pm all the way up till past midnight. *laugh* Thank God the weather was beautiful although being in Malaysia, we can’t run too far from the default humidity! *laugh* Nevertheless, Pat was so thoughtful and VERY hospitable, making sure I was happy, fed and cooled off the whole time…THANK YOU PAT! *smile*
Overall, I reckon the 6 finalists this year were winners in their own right, and there was no doubt that this year was a great improvement from the last BOB so kudos to the team at MYC for putting together such an fantabulous show. Well done guys!!! *smile*
Bumped into some familiar faces at the same time. Remember Jess? Hehe. So happy to see her in her new look… ahem! Hehe.
Poor Alda was stuck beside me at the judging table and I guess going up on stage to perform in between the judging process was a treat for him. Hahahaha. Alda, just pulling your leg ya! Haha. Thanks for being my closest source of entertainment through the evening… *laugh* Oh and guess what?! I got a Touch-n-Go card with my own pic on it! Hehe. Thanks a bunch Touch-n-Go! Hehe.
Congratulations to the winners! Keep rockin’ and keep up the good work! *smile* 6 days and counting towards next Sunday’s charity concert. So excited! Hehe.
Heath & Beauty Mag cover is out! Finally. Hehe. One of the most interesting wardrobe styling I’ve done on a shoot. Some may say it’s totally outrageous but I reckon it’s just different. This time, it’s Ed Hardy all the way, courtesy of Ed Hardy KLCC. Hehe.
The past few days have literally flown by, it’s unbelievable. Tempus fugit. Time flies. The team and I are on a mad rush on schedule for the upcoming Charity Concert next Sunday, trying to piece everything together with the small little budget we have. Indeed, many corporate companies shy away from sound of the word ‘charity’ but we’re lucky to have gracious and sincere people that are willing to go the extra mile with us. Not just on the corporate side (Allied Marine and Affin Bank) but also the media (NSTP Group, Hot Magazine and MYC!), bloggers, celebrities (Harith Iskander, Jojo Struys, Daphne Iking, Liang, Reefa, Sasi The Don, The Fabulous Cats, Meet Uncle Hussain, Reymee and Sam of Innuendo, Hazami, Atilia, Caprice, Pietro and Dennis Lau), our community service partner City Care, production partners (Hue, Filmpoint and Ayria Consulting) and most importantly our gracious sound, light and staging providers (Chan and Henry not to mention Edwin, our sound engineer *smile*). Of course, there’s the super people behind it to manage the organization of the event – my wonderful chore team (Leonard, Evelyn, Isabelle, Sheng Mae, Sebastian, Zen, Sukvinder). *smile*
Definitely takes more than 1 party to make the difference in completing the equation and I believe this is what community service is all about. Contributing your time, resources and love for the underprivileged is something that everyone can afford to do, regardless of race, culture, religion and financial status. And I believe that’s what the true 1-Malaysia spirit is all about. *smile* Of course, we need you to play a part with your generous gifts for the kids too! *wink*
late lunch technical discussion with Chan. Leonard in action. Hehe

Well, I’m definitely looking forward to next Sunday. You won’t believe how many sleepless nights the team has endured through the last 2 weeks just to put the event structure together. With the finishing touches this week, we definitely hope to make it worth your while for the 3 hours you’re gonna be spending with us on Sunday. *smile* I always like to tell people not to expect too much but come with a big and open heart to give and share your love…hehe.
For me, juggling between the event management, branding and marketing of the campaign AND the creative aspect of the production, my performance, rehearsals and coordinating the rest of the artistes have been a very value-adding experience for me (although it can be rather draining too! *laugh*). It’s an experience not many entertainers have the privilege of experiencing and I believe this will prepare me for the bigger things ahead, not to mention being able to appreciate the people behind events like this even more. *laugh* I haven’t been able to sleep or eat at regular times because of our crazy schedule so please forgive me for not being able to write as often as I wished I could the last few days. Jangan marah ya… *smile*
Being the last event for me before I head back to start on a new production in Japan (I’m so excited! *grin*), I’m gonna cherish the character-building moments that I believe have shaped me into a better person with more patience, tolerance and better problem-solving skills!!!! Hahaha.
Enough rambling for today, and while you spend the weekend with your family and loved ones, remember that there’s the other part of your online family here that love and appreciate you just as much. Hehe. I’m gonna leave something special behind to make up for my absence in January through March, but will tell you when the time is right. For now, please keep the team and I in prayer because our physical batteries are running low and we need divine grace and your love to pull through the big SUNDAY ahead. *smile* Big panda hugs. xxx
Don’t be jealous….hehehe… I got the new planner!!!! Woohoo! Thanks Sydney and Emmelyn! You definitely made me happy camper! Haha. Very nice change from last year’s and it gives me another reason to look forward to 2010. *grin*
David Lai’s kind enough to help us out with his expertise at the concert. Don’t wanna spoil the surprise just yet so just make sure you come and check it out next Sunday… hehe.
Oh and guys, Starbucks at The Gardens is gonna be hosting 5 lucky winners to have dinner with Yours Truly and a few of my friends after the concert next Sunday! Just tune in to Hitz FM, be the lucky caller through to win tickets and if you call during the bonus hour, you’ll be on your way to the special get-together treat right after the concert ON TOP of your allocated tickets. *smile*
Can’t wait to see you guys there!!! Hehe. MWah mwah mwah~
Sorry didn’t get to log on until now. I was in the midst of finishing this post last night (or more accurately very early this morning) when I totally KO-ed on my computer again! *laugh* By the time I realized it, my notebook was off because the battery had died, and I was sprawled on my bed in my work clothes. *laugh* Malunya… *laugh* One sleepy panda la… Hehehe.
Anyways, the weekend thru the beginning of this week has been a very productive one for me (and the team of course…haha). These are pics from the event in Genting with Hitachi for their 2010 Dealer Convention Launch. We hosted 3 events from 9am right up till 11pm and after the day was over I realized that standing 16 hours in heels CAN be quite a workout on it’s own. By the time the 3rd event of the day was over I had MASSIVE calf muscles, it felt as though I had spent a week at the gym! Hahahaha. Oh well, that does my gym workout for the next 2 weeks! *laugh*
We rushed back down to KL right after the event and I managed to get back home at about 3am to have a nice hot shower and a good ol’ Malaysian supper. That night I was treated to a 5-hour sleep and believe me, I’ll slept like a baby! Haha. Back on the non-stop cycle by Saturday and haven’t stopped till just yet but after next Sunday’s concert, I should be able to breathe. And I’m so happy to say that I’ll be going home for Christmas! Made it a point to clear work for the week to spend some quality time with my family before I head back to Japan on a long stretch.
Mind you a lot of effort has been put into the upcoming 20th December Charity Concert next Sunday so I do hope you’ll enjoy it despite our budget constraints! Hehe. Community service events are always financially challenging and we’re still trying to raise the extra funds to cover the basic cost of the event. Nevertheless, regardless of what the case may be, the show must go on and I promise it will be a fun one! *wink*
Oh forgot to mention, for those who are RSVP-ing for the complimentary concert tickets and are currently registered with this site as my online family, please don’t forget to include your username ya. *wink* More updates again soon! Love you guys! Mwah mwah mwah!
Pics are out!!! Courtesy of my Official Photographer for the day, Aaron Ho (actually also our webmaster who had to multitask for the day…hehe). Held as Biz Café (Thank you Eddy for being our brilliant hosts for the event! *grin*), it was a really intimate one with the attendance of various friends from the media and bloggers. Thanks guys for making time for me last Thursday! *smile*
Aaron Ho! hehe
I was so happy that my entire family made time to come and support me too! My sisters Gloria and Victoria took some really nice shots of the event (not to mention some candid ones of me too… *laugh*…jokers!)
It’s been a very productive weekend for the team and I indeed. *smile* We headed for our site recce and production meeting at the concert venue itself (The Gardens Hotel Ballroom, Mid Valley City) right after the Press Conference on Thursday evening. From there a few of us rushed up to Genting for a run through with a client for the next day’s hosting gig. By the time we reached the top of the hill it was 12.30am so after the briefing and event run through we finally checked into the hotel at 2.30am-ish if I remember correctly. *laugh* With the script changes etc, I didn’t get to sleep that night. The 1st out of the 3 events I was supposed to host that day started at 9am so I was literally a walking zombie up on the hill…. *laugh* Share more pics of the day with you but for how, I give you the Press Conference for 20th December’s Charity Christmas Concert. Enjoy…*grin*
