I had the privilege of meeting a young boy who not only
inspired me but also touched my heart in more ways than one. On the night of my
arrival from Tokyo, I received news about young
boy who had been on life support for about a month at University Hospital.
And through a friend of a friend of a friend, I came to know that this young
boy’s wish was to meet me in person. The very next day, I made it a point to
drop by to say hello and during that short visit, I made a promise to him –
that I would take him out for a meal, to have whatever he wanted, once he got
out of hospital.
Four days later, I made a shout out to him on national TV,
during my guest appearance on Venus at NTV7. The next morning, I received news
that he passed away in his sleep, peacefully. His name was Alfred. I never did
get a chance to pass him this picture nor did I get a chance to fulfill my
promise with the meal, but I thank God for the chance to say hello and meet his
wonderful mother, and give this inspiring young boy a hug while at it. *smile*

To the family and loved ones of Alfred, I share the
sentiments of your loss and pray that you’ll find comfort in Him.

My deepest condolence to his family. May his soul rest in peace.
Thanks God for everything you’ve done for Alfred and thank you so much Hannah for being such a blessing to us all.
Very inspiring story indeed.
And I believed Alfred left this world with a grateful heart.

They say it takes a second to find a special person,
A minute to know them,
An hour to appreciate them,
But an entire life just to forget them.
