Thanks to our sponsors, Jessica and I had the opportunity to experience the lifestyle and environment of the happiest, most efficient, livable and healthy city in the world. *smile* In 2008, the Global Peace Index ranked Denmark as the second most peaceful country in the world, after Iceland. And after our trip, we finally understood why statistics didn’t state otherwise. *laugh* The Danes are such warm and accommodating people, PLUS they speak pretty good English despite Danish being their first language. So it was pretty easy getting around the city.
This is Amalienborg Palace, the winter home of the Danish royal
family. It consists of four identical classicizing palace façades with
rococo interiors around an octagonal courtyard, and in the center of
the square is a monumental equestrian statue of Amalienborg‘s founder, King Frederick V. *smile*
