Workshop for youths on career in entertainment industry

YOUNG people who are interested in a career in the entertainment
industry may want to spend a day at the H-Factor Nationwide Creative
Youth Workshop 2008 tomorrow at G Hotel in Penang.
The workshop
is a community service campaign initiated by Malaysian celebrity Hannah
Tan who made a surprise visit to KDU Penang campus on Thursday to speak
to students about the event.
Hannah said the campaign aimed to promote the positive development of creative talent among Malaysia’s pop culture society.
“Malaysia
does not lack talent but requires a positive platform for the
development of young potentials to shine in the international arena,”
she said.
The one-day workshop from 10.30am to 6pm will cover different fields of the creative content industry.
There
will be eight topics by nine speakers – Comedy & Theatre by Harith
Iskander, Film & Acting by Hans Isaac, Radio by Serena C and Pietro
Felix of Mix FM, Music by Reymee of Innuendo, TV Hosting by Hannah Tan,
Dance by Fellast Yan of Wild Stream Productions, Motion Graphics &
Animation by Joey Khor of Hue Visualab and Mentalism by magician David
Lai.
The workshop is open to all Malaysians aged between 16 and
25. Participation is free but an administrative fee of RM30 will be
charged per participant to fund the basic cost of the event’s
administration.
Those interested to attend the workshop can sign
up at the H-Factor booth at the Queensbay Mall’s North Zone concourse
in Penang from 5pm to 9pm today.
Hannah, who is currently
working on her second song album scheduled for release later this year,
will be at the booth from 7pm onwards with some of the workshop
