Guys, I need your help with this.Some of you may have seen this topic on our FB profiles but I’d like to raise
this discussion here anyway so bear with me ya. *smile* Truth is, my team and I
have been toying around with the idea of creating a mobile blog but we’re still
brainstorming on the logistics and feasibility of actually putting this idea in
motion.
When I mention mobile blog, I
mean having news, pics and short clips delivered directly to your mobile phones
on a regular basis, eg. 2-3 times a week. Never been implemented before in Malaysia
so it’s going to be a rather tricky feat if we step up as the guinea pigs to
this idea. Haha.
I wanna know how many of you and your network of friends would
actually subscribe to one (if available) and if yes, what kind of content would
you be expecting to receive on your mobile phones.
Of course, other ideas,
thoughts and feedback are welcome as always. *smile* Thanks for your help guys.

ooo… that’s a great idea. in fact, it is a brilliant idea. well, i would subscribe to it if it happens. no doubt. i’m willing to be the guinea pig to this idea. haha. maybe it could send some of your new singles… or anything happening that’s going on… or maybe… just maybe…. it could send some short clips of you in Perth, Australia? i don’t know, i just tossing around ideas. hope it helps.

Hi Hannah, yeah sounds good. But have you planned out the cost yet? Might be a bit costly for you and for us, since it will consume a lot of bandwidth. But maybe there’s a way around it.

Got it Jonathan. Thanks for the invite and sorry about the error. Unfortunately I’m still on the lookout for a webmaster as the existing one is busy busy busy. So bear with me for a bit k. So sorry. But thanks for the feedback. And yes, cost is always a factor. haha. Which is why we’re trying to work out the best possible way for not just the mobile blog but also mobile downloads, like having sound bytes, voice message box greetings, etc.
Adli, yeah, and will you help me brainstorm here? Hehe. Guaranteed on having a lot of subscribers, I’m still not sure though. Haha. That’s why I wanted to find out if you guys and the network of friends you have would subscribe to it if we create one. At least then we can see if cost is justifiable. If only I were a billionaire… then I wouldn’t have to worry about cost and all. Haha…

Anyway, mobile downloads sound really good. I would love to have an SMS ring tone of you saying “You’ve got mail!” in your own voice. Would treasure it for life

Don’t know whether or not it’ll worked here, but people like me is just not up to par with techie stuffs, and don’t really know whats all that… But kudos for the effort though. Everything’s gotta have a start… *smile*
Hmmm… mobile blog. Would only subscribe to such services if it provide first hand info straight to my phone and act as a useful tools for gathering information.

That’s an interesting idea to play with… mobile blog chatz too? clips, wallpaper, screensavers & tum tum tum… mp3 ringtone of your voice?! =p
I believe anything will work, if made with the right ingredients. The idea is great and of course it will work but it’s a very niche market…so it all depends on your target demographics and content. I don’t think you need any advice on this *winks* Content v Demographics, which comes first? Then market it correctly.
Personally I wouldn’t subscribe to it if I can get it off the net. If there is no “real-time” need for it, then there is no way I am going to pay for it. But you can still convince me over dinner…*laughs*
