Golden Week

It’s finally the start of the long-awaited Golden Week – the extra long weekend in Japan that happens once a year. Hehe. Monday through Wednesday next week is a back-to-back national holiday on 3 different occasions so that makes it a 5-day weekend starting today. *grin* Well for me, it means an opportunity to catch up on sleep, paperwork, music practise and studies at my own pace. Yay! Hehe.

I finally ended the week with my weekly achievement test at the language school and a pre-pro recording session for the new track I have been working on over the last couple of days. It’s been an extra long week with so much to do (which makes ‘hectic’ pretty much an understatement really *laugh*) but I’m grateful for the extra few upcoming days to sort out the outstanding work. *grin*

After I got home from work last nite, I decided on the perfect stress-reliever – a catch up session with my long-neglected kitchen. Haha. Though I’m not much of a pasta fan, after trying the Japanese mentai (fish roe) pasta for the first time last year, I got hooked. *laugh* And since I had been craving for spaghetti mentai for more than a week and yet not had the opportunity to satisfy my craving, I decided to try cooking just that for supper last nite. Hehe. Tadaa….!!! *grin*

my very own spaghetti mentai with a touch of mushroom essence…hehe

Not too bad actually… *laugh* …and yes, I definitely went to bed a happy camper! *big-smile* Happy happy! *grin*

A group of closer friends from KL arrived in Tokyo specifically to visit me today, so I should be taking some time off to show them around town. *smile* Oh BTW, my boss informed me this afternoon that I am required to attend a live K1 event tomorrow, so I should have an interesting experience to share with you after. *wink* Any K1 fans here? *grin*

Haha one take-away coming up for you CS! *smile* And yes I’ll take your advice on the rest bit. Need to re-charge but circumstances somehow doesn’t seem to like it that way… *laugh*

Adli, well in answer to your question, for me, there’s no problem too big for God and although not everyone may believe in Him, I do, and that’s where I usually offload my most unbearable burdens and unsolvable problems to. *smile* Problems are food for growth and most successful people would probably tell you that they got to where they are by solving one problem after another until they ultimately got really pro at it.
You’ve got a family here that cares and who knows, a few more heads put together can sometime be better than one. *smile* Let us know what’s bothering you and we’ll do our best to work it out together k. *smile* Hang in there champ. *smile* Big hugs for you. Oh and next trip to KL probably not till July… :-(

CSY! Ya. Food!!!!! Once a Malaysian, always a Malaysian. Hahaha. Cannot lari from that. *laugh* Big hugs for you too! Mwah!

Esquire, thanks and yeah I totally agree with you on the last bit – with the Jap tech anything is possible! *laugh* Can’t wait to show you guys the clip took of the fight. For now it’s just pics…bear with me for this next post ya! Hehe
    Let’s adjourn gentlemen. *smile*

Yeah Hannah San. Agreeable with you there. That Japanese Commitment level.

Hey Adli, I too wanna kepoh-ing a bit. dont mind aa.. God will never be testing you for what you cant solved. Always there is ways forward, even though when you think its like blocked up for the moment. Hiccups/obstacles or challenges is a routine. How you managed it will make you the better person as time goes by. Success is not measured by what you have, but by what you’ve achieved in overcoming the obstacles. Plus it makes your life interesting and you learn new things too. Anyway just keep on moving and moving and moving…

think of the wilbur brothers? how many times they tried to fly before they can really2 fly? Susah2 putting man in the air and now inventors are finding a way to put man out of the air (unmanned vehicle). In short which ever ends you looking at, there is always the Big WORD, ‘Challenge’. Just Do it (pinjam some Nike-ish tag)…

And pray harder too always, cos My mama told me, life is like a Box of Chocolate, You never know what you gonna geeetttt…

The line came from a quote i read before – “Success is not measured by what you have, but what you’ve achieved in overcoming the obstacles” – Cant remmember who wrote it.
