Japanese curry rice

Didn’t have time to cook at home today so I decided to have lunch on the go, Japanese style. And since I’m more of a rice fan, I opted for the quickest hot rice meal near the station – Japanese curry rice! *grin*

The Japanese curry is totally different from the typical Malaysian ones – being sweeter and ummm…not one bit spicy (despite ordering the most spicy version) – but nevertheless tasty, just as of most food in Japan. *smile* Here, the Japanese curry rice is usually eaten with pickles to enhance the taste, and served ‘banjir’ with lotsa gravy, just the way I like it! Hehe. It cost me 870 yen (about US $8.70) for this instant meal, which comes up to about RM29. Well if you don’t convert the price to ringgit and if you look at it dollar-for-dollar, it’s not too bad la…haha. Obviously trying to make myself feel better. *laugh*

Anyhoo, thanks for praying for me today. The kanji test this afternoon was tougher than the usual so not feeling too confident, but I’m sure your prayers have made the difference somehow! *laugh* I’ll keep you updated on the result once it’s out. Haha. Fingers crossed! *grin*

Manu San rejoined the class today after this recent trip to Switzerland and he brought back yummy treats for all of us! Chocs and the works. This particular one came from the very thoughtful Dipak. Thanks Dipak!!!! I’m gonna be a really happy camper this week thanks to you!!! Hehe. Yummy yummy!

Manu San showed me pics of Dipak and just to share, he’s recovering really well and fast, not to mention looking really good too! *smile* Dipak, keep up the good work and lotsa love from all of us! *grin*

Another one of my closest friends from Penang is coming to Japan to visit me at the end of the week so I’m really looking forward to it. We studied in the same college and have come a long way since then so there will be so much to catch up on when she’s here. *smile* Most of my friends from the big group that made the trip during the Golden Week have left (although 2 are still here to visit the outskirts of Tokyo) but I guess with my Penang-kia buddy coming up soon, my tourguide business in Japan has merely just begun! *laugh* And goodness, I think by the time the year is over, I would probably be a Disneyland pro, since I’ve been making a trip there every single time a Malaysian visitor comes over! Which reminds me, I should be uploading the most recent Disney pics up later this week. I hope you won’t get bored of more pics from Disney… *laugh* Sowie ne~
