I only missed 3 days of my language classes last week during the Singapore trip but I have so much to catch up on with homework, lessons and the tests I missed.
When I came back on Friday itself I joined the rest of my class for 2 tests – the ‘hatsuon’ (accent/pronunciation) test and the ‘kaiwa’ (conversation) test. On Monday I took the general test (we call it the ‘ookii’ test *laugh*) which includes the month’s worth of grammar and vocab lessons. On the same day I was also assigned to give a short presentation and hand in a long due essay, so the recent Sunday was a rather hectic one for me trying to cram for the test, the completion of the essay, as well as the presentation slides (I chose to talk about Malaysia *smile*). *laugh* On Tuesday I had to hand in another essay besides taking another 2 tests – a kanji test together with the comprehension test I missed the week before. Today we had another kanji test so I’m really happy that the day’s finally over. Tomorrow is a break from the string of tests since last Friday, but as always, the usual Friday general test still goes on, so I won’t quite get to breathe until the weekend! *laugh*
I guess by now you would understand why I had to burn the midnight oil these last couple of days. *laugh* I never imagined that learning a new language could be so taxing. *laugh* Nevertheless I feel so fortunate to have the chance to pick up Japanese in Japan while working on my music and other things, so I couldn’t have been more grateful. *smile*
On the work side I received a new batch of materials for next week’s pre-pro so will be working on that too. That’s the part of my working day which I enjoy most – music – so no complaints. *smile* I’m gradually getting the hang of J-pop although there is still much to learn and a long long way to go for me. I’m committing all I have to this now, and so it the team that’s working hard to support me, so please pray for us that God will intervene to complete the formula to pull it off ya. *smile*
Meantime, I wanted to share some pics with you, from a recent photoshoot. Jap style. *wink* Here you go! Hehe.
