D-I-Y

With the festivities in the way it’s almost impossible to get a last minute appointment at the nail salon, so this time I had to resort to the good ol’ D-I-Y (do it yourself)! *laugh*

Ok, I gotta be honest that my ummm…nail painting skills aren’t that great, but I guess it’ll be worth the try since I have time today. Haha.

My choice of colour – shocking pink. Yup! I suppose with the glum of the cold this week, a little colour would help with a little mood lifting! Haha.

I never really liked the colour pink but it seems to be growing on me. *laugh* Colour psychologists label pink as the most romantic color. It’s effect believe it or not, is supposed to be tranquilizing. It is said that sports teams sometimes paint the locker rooms used by opposing teams bright pink so their opponents will lose energy. Fancy that!!! *laugh*

As much as we see a lot of pink in this day and age (especially during the breast cancer awareness programmes), I dare say that it hardly applies to living things or animals and creatures for that matter. However, I did come across some rather interesting living things that exist in a natural shade of pink, believe it or not! The first being this Pink Dragon Millipede…

Next, there’s the Pink Iguana…

…and my favourite of all, the pink dolphin which is said to have 40% more brain capacity than humans do. Shame on us. Hahaha.
