I’m not a big fan of western fast food (Asian fast food like ‘chap fan‘ and ’gyuu-don‘ – I LOVE!!!), typically burgers and pizzas. Period. Being Asian, I can’t live without rice but today I made an exception for dinner. I had a (or if you look at the pictures, you’ll soon discover that I had more than one, and it’s all Ren’s fault!!) burger. Yup, a burger meal for dinner (the people that know me really well may be dumbfounded to read this *laugh*).
My YouTube channel guardian Ren had a stake in a gourmet burger set up and invited me to visit his outlet. My Burger Lab - It’s been opened for less than a month but the response has been overwhelming. Operation hours are from 5pm – 11pm, Tuesdays to Sundays but I’ve been warned that the line of customers outside the outlet starts at 4pm during the weekends. Burgers on the other hand are sold out by 8pm. How amazing is that?!
Okay, so I’m not that into burgers but I must say, I was pleasantly surprised with what I eventually stuffed into my mouth (which you’ll notice in my next video/blog post) *laugh*. But on a serious note, I’d say that the A+ and Elvis burger is a winner. One more happy camper in da’ house y’all!
Hats off to Ren Yi, Chang Ming and Wee Kiat for conceptualising and implementing such a genius concept to share their passion for real burgers in this part of the globe. Seeing how picky and stingy we Malaysians can be when it comes to food, it was definitely a brave move but I believe whole-heartedly that their courage paid off. Respect.
Ren, thanks for the treat. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m still am not a big western fast food fan but after today, I am – wait for it… - a Burger Lab fan. *smile* Make sure you have a go at it soon ya:
